The moment I woke up from my sleep early in the morning, I knew today wouldn't. I can see the bright sunlight looking harsh much more than how it was before. It was already looking like days in my dream. "Awesome", I whispered to myself as I tried to position myself to get out of bed.

Waking up from the bed, I realized that I was on the wrong side of the bed all this while. Well, today is unusual because I always wake up on the right side of the bed but this fateful morning, I was carried away in a deep sleep. Still sleepwalking,, I tried to find my way to the bathroom like how a zombie moved you can tell that I was still controlled by my sleep.

I was able to get my toothbrush and trying to squeeze out some paste from the toothpaste I discovered I mistakenly grabbed my sister's own instead of mine.

"This is not happening". I looked at her toothbrush in disappointment. Trying to rinse my mouth, I went to get my own toothbrush. I was done with clearing up by 7:10am and that time was already getting me late for work. I knew instantly I would be facing another obstacle ahead before getting to my workplace and that is the Lagos traffic.

Checking my wardrobe to find out which dress to put on, of course I was able to pick another dress. Still trying to be able to catch the first bus at the bus stop, I quickly rushed to the bus stop and fortunately, I was still able to catch up.

"Kai, Lagos is not for the week oo" I said to myself looking at how the heat and choky every where is even when it is not 8AM. Everyone trying to rush to meet their daily activities and living like this is their last day on earth. Sometimes I usually wonder what made Lagos to be this demanding and choky like this.

As we approached my destination, the bus conductor begins to give signals to us in order for him to start collecting money.

"Office Man, oya your money!? He shouted at me.

Well, I was not really surprised because that is how Lagos bus conductor behaves most especially when it is the morning hour of the day.

Putting my hand in my pocket in order to bring out my wallet, I discovered that I have forgotten my wallet at home. "No! Not today" I wishper to myself. Trying to explain my situation to the lousy bus conductor.

"Mr Man, If you don't get money, no transport for you as you go waka tired today."

Stranded, confused and wondering what to do, well after bleeding with the conductor, he actually have sympathy on me and agree to stop me few miles negore my destination but that also comes wirh insult from him. "Irresponsible set of people." That was the words he muttered to me.

Been dropped by the road side and having no choice but to work down the way to the office as it was few miles left even in this harsh Lagos sun, I have no choice. By the time I got to the office, I knew I was in for it today with my boss.

The first person that greeted and that was with a curious smile was chinchin. "Why are you just coming by this time?" She asked

"Well, it is a long story and you don't want to know the full gist now" I responded.

"Alright Ade, meeting in 5 minutes"

That was the moment I remember that I have a meeting by 9 AM. Trying to find my composure, I grabbed my laptop and rushed to the meeting room which we always called the concerned room. Getting to the room, I discovered that I have brought another laptop instead of the office laptop. I was more confused at that particular time.

Well I explained the meeting with my boss who looked me with that disappointment. Well I can't blame him because if I am in his shoe, I will also behave that way. After the end of the meeting and returning back to my desk, I was having this complete feeling of defeat. I can't wish for another day like this ever in my life.
