At first glance this winged animal is very similar to a bee. However, what I found was not bees, but flies. This fly is commonly referred to as a floating fly. This fly also likes flowers and sucks flower nectar like a bee. As you can see, the color and body are very similar to those of a bee. Bees have stings, whereas flies don't, that's the difference between the two that is easier for us to distinguish. Here are some pictures of floating flies that I found sucking on wild flower honey.
