Hello #needlework

Happy new month and last month of the year. I'm so excited because Christmas is around the corner which means we get to attend parties, carols and have lots of fun.

It's my daughter's birthday last week and it falls on a school day, which means she gets to celebrate it with her class mates in school.

And for a class party I felt it's only ideal to make her dress simple not too busy but yet befitting the celebration.

So, I decided to make a twist of pinafore-like with front a corset loop and a button down dress for her.

The back bodice

The front bodice

Will be gathering this for the down part

Here, I have ironed an hairstay to the front panels for a bit of stability and also turned it in with a linen

I've also turn the back piece with a linen without hairstay

The next thing is to join the front and the back together. Firstly, at the shoulder seam and then by the sides

Both bodice joined together

Then, I went ahead and gathered the lower part to the bodice

Hand stitched the buttons and the buttons hole, fixed the eyelets to the upper part

Just like that, my Cutie's birthday dress is ready ✨✨✨🎊🎊🎊
And she rocked it beautifully with a white shirt, white socks, white sneakers and a beaded bag her dad made for her.

Until next time, ❤️✨
