Why does it hurt so much....?

We were friends since I could remember, did goofy things together, fought against each other and still united to fight against whoever picked on either of us... Life was so much fun then... That we didn't know life would soon happen to both of us.
It did, and now she is upstate studying to be a pediatrician, she so much loved kids and I fantasized alot about how cute our kids are gonna be...
Forget everything you read prior to these... She doesn't even know I exist... Just like in the movies when a nerdy goofy boy falls in love from distance... Yea, kinda but not quite.
