Marriage is one of the most important things for the people of Aceh. Because marriage only needs to be done once in a lifetime, so not a few people who consider the wedding is very sacred, traditional wedding Aceh is not only a ritual, but it contains many philosophical meanings.
** Ijab Kabul (Solemnization of a marriage)**
Before we discuss about solemnization of a marriage there are some things that must be prepared before the wedding takes place, that is :
Jeuname (dowry)
dowry is something special in Aceh, men have to spend 3-30 grams of gold. 1 mayam of gold equivalent to 3.3 grams of gold.
Peng Angoh (money scorched)
money brought by the groom to the bride's family.
The process of marriage in Aceh begins with solemnization of a marriage conducted by the groom with the wedding guardian, penghulu, witness and family. At the time of Ijab Kabul (solemnization of marriage), the groom could only answer solemnization of a marriage with one breath should not be more than that. Marriage is usually done in KUA or large mosques.
Ask for blessings
