This is written in an effort to explain the Trinity to be understood by anyone and everyone. To help plant the seed of faith in others who may be turned off by biblical references but have a basic desire to know God.
In the face of no empirical evidence beyond the circumstantial prophesies which have and shall shortly come to pass, faith is still a necessity to understand what we read the Bible.
What it took for me to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ and why we need to voluntarily accept him and his gift to us, required me to listen to the gospel explained by a truly enlightened pastor or evangelist of the Word. My eyes have been opened. They have planted the seed of faith within me and now when re-reading it for myself, their explanations bring the Bible to life.
My faith is in God Through Jesus Christ not the Bible. The Bible is where the philosophy of Purpose, Law, Justice and Mercy Through Sacrifice, can be found; if one is looking and God wants one to find it. Otherwise one is turned over to a reprobate mind and vile affections and will never find his purpose.
Begin:
God the Father is real, God the Son, our savior is real, the Holy Spirit is real; all three are real separate beings. “God” is the incorporation of the three separate beings; incorporated by the words and promises and the law that they keep. They are separate persons who have formed a corporation between the partners. Just like the corporations that men make on earth; earthly partnerships of separate people into one legal entity mimicking the concept created by the Corporation of the Trinity in heaven.
We worship God; being the incorporation of the three beings into the Trinity. They are Not “morphed” into one being. They are separate beings bound together by their law; the promises that they made; the law that creates sentience; the law that creates good and bad, Joy and Suffering, Justice and Mercy.
This is where modalists get confused because of their simple failure to understand the distinction between the three individuals and the corporation they formed, but it should also be simple for anyone to understand; anyone who has ever created a company. For Example: When people file for incorporation they submit paperwork; promises and covenants with their State.
Incorporation is a set of words that create a covenant between each member; they make promises that bind each partner together; not as one person, but as One legal entity comprised of a merger of assets and debts of separate beings. Modalism by contrast declares that God is only one being who morphs into different roles to effectuate a particular part of the doctrine. Like an actor with multiple roles or someone with multi-personality disorder; none of which holds water biblically where God often refers to themselves in the plural sense and as each part in the singular as a separate being; but I can see where the confusion originated with people not familiar with the legal fictions of corporations.
God’s plan for each of us is simple. To have joy. But why should we worship God and obey the laws created by the Trinity.
By way of another example, and for argument sake, consider for a minute, Yin and Yang from Buddhism; postulating that Opposites exist in all things, which I agree with, yet they seek “enlightenment” which to them means the ending of all suffering; yet, Joy cannot exist without suffering, likewise Good cannot exist without bad. Unless neither concept actually exists, but we know they do. Even devout atheists believe in good and bad but without a law defining the difference we are merely animals living in the wild kingdom of survival. Our sentience was originally derived from Gods laws but our arrogance attempts to exchange them for our own.
Where Buddhists go wrong is trying to reach enlightenment by ending suffering failing to realize that ending suffering also ends joy therefore Buddhist enlightenment is a false doctrine.
We’ve all been taught that good and bad exists somehow, but again, people are finding ways to reverse the definitions of good and bad. Therefore Good and Bad only exist as fictitious concepts defined by someone’s set of rules. This concept is what makes us sentient within the confines of the law we choose to espouse.
Again, Sentience is derived by knowing good from bad within a defined set of rules, therefore we do not exist as sentient beings without adhering to a set of rules like the 10 commandments. Humanism struggles on a daily basis to switch the paradigm from God to Man; the oldest of heresies or crimes against God for breaking his laws.
God is sentient because of a commitment to the law they created; the Word; fictitious Words that without fealty to them, we cease to have joy or certainty; which is why God demands our worship and fealty; to be able to continue our own existence with him and have eternal joy.
Once man became sentient we needed the concept of mercy to temper justice which is the result for sentient beings who trespass against Gods laws.
Jesus Christ provides mercy for our crimes against God that we commit daily. All he requires is our faith and fealty, accepting his gift of eternal life with him and his words. This is why we worship him, for keeping his promises to us.
Jesus Christ as a component of The Trinity, paid for the sins of the world to satisfy the concepts of both Mercy and Justice.
I worship God being The Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I have faith that my fealty to God and that the sacrifice Christ made will wipe away my debts to God.
Hell is the result of becoming sentient and breaking God’s laws that make us sentient; Ie committing crimes only a sentient being can make, and the resulting hell was made to satisfy the concept of justice. Hell is not punishment so much as it’s justice.
Make no mistake however, God didn’t make the decision for us to become sentient, Eve did.
I once read that some people hate God and liken him to an abusive husband for creating predestined failure and punishing his children who fail.... but that’s inaccurate. If you want a more accurate one, think back to when your parents warned you not to make life altering decisions that have long lasting consequences but you do anyway then cry when justice is served.
But God has heard our cries and sacrificed his only begotten son in the flesh, to release us from our spiritual debts..... to release us from the eternal consequences of being a debtor.
Without laws we aren’t sentient. But some people want both sentience and freedom from the resulting Justice without pain or suffering or sacrifice; payment that is due for being a sentient law breaker.
God, offers that very thing but does ask for our faith and ultimate fealty for our continued Joy with him.
And this is why we worship God, because they are the law giver; Laws that enable us to be like them having the knowledge of good and evil. What we do with that knowledge, our eternal fate, is up to each one of us.
