Happy to share some progress over taming my tablet. The previous struggles is having control over the strokes. Now I'm trying to negotiate with balancing using the hard brush, soft brush, and opacity. It's a small increment but I'll appreciate small victories.

I'm not expecting a big leap in skills here. I was testing out some brushes, techniques, and speed in rendering lines to complete an image. It's no use trying to compare my progress to someone who has been used to this for years. I get that.
I put in a lot of details for a plain sketch work. This was testing out abstract details that I may want to try putting on the final image. This process took me less time that I did a few days ago. The hack I found was just adjusting the opacity of my pen rather than the layer. This helped me be bothered less by repeated strokes and focus more on form.
Tracing over the image is simple but it was a constant struggle to whether switch to hard brush over soft brush. The former was meant for line work by it also meant a slow crawl. It was difficult to make satisfying lines with hard brush. The soft brush was easier to handle and it made the lines look painterly but that's not supposed to be what I'm using. Using that only made my line work more sketchy.
Till the next try.
