Hello lovely Hiveans !
Today I want to enter the #monomad challenge with some pictures of some round ball-shaped lamps around a concrete pillar that I recorded from a in the middle of the night at my former University - I hope you like it ^^
I usually never take the bus that goes directly to my home whenever I stay away from until late in the nigh, but prefer to take the train to my former University. From there its a walk of 30 minutes, but it leads over the empty campus, alongside the botanic garden and through the adjusted forest. Thus, I don't mind the walk at all, but enjoy it instead. It is kind of a little relaxing and calming walk between whatever happened during the night and the final drop into my bed at home ^^
The campus has a really nice own charm at night. Most of the architecture is made by colorless concrete, which may not be appealing on first view, but nearly everything is build in a symmetrical fashion and decorated by many small lamps or bigger ball-shaped lamps, which are beautiful at night and very catchy for the eye.
Here you see one of the many concrete pillars which has a total of four lams attached, from which three can be seen here. I really loved how symmetrical the whole arrangement looked like and the bright lamps created such a nice contrast to the relatively dark environment. In monochrome colors it looks even more impressive for me. And as the whole campus has a nostalgic touch for me anyway, due to I spend a whole bunch of years studying and working there, it fits my view even more ^^
I actually like the whole symmetry in the second picture a lot, but I still favor the first one over the second. I don't know exactly why, but I believe its the more intense contrsat between the shiny lamps and the dark concrete - I hop you like it ;)
