Today was another good day. And as usual on Thursdays, I was extra cheery because it was my last workday for the week.
Today I was working on some pieces for casement window sash. One of the orders had two different types of wood. The interior is made of red cedar and will be stained, and the exterior is made of pine and will be painted.
I clamp the blank piece onto my machine first with the interior face up.
Then the machine mills one side and it looks like this.
After that I turn the piece so the interior face is down.
Then the machine mills the second side and the final piece looks like this.
And here is a stack of all the pieces needed to make two casement window sashes.
When I got home, I went walking in the yard behind the barn to finish my 10,000 steps, and I visited the kitties.
I wanted to take photos, but you know what happens when you take photos of kitties in the dark with a flash.
I managed to take a photo of this one sitting in the chair.
I watched the cats play around and chase each other for a while.
And now I’m having a beer and making this post.
