Today I got the bulk of my activity just from the moving around that I do at work.
I make components for windows and doors with a CNC router. I get a lot of movement just from carrying the pieces to and from my machine.
Sometimes the pieces I work on are made of hardwood and they can be heavy enough.
One product I was working on today was mahogany door jambs.
Here’s a picture of a jamb ready to be routered for the hinges and the striker plate:
Here it is after being routered for the hinges and the striker plate:
And here I put a striker plate to test for the fit:
And there we go. On some days, depending on what I’m working on, I can sometimes achieve 12,000 steps during my ten hour shift.
All the photos were taken by me with my iPhone 6 and uploaded unedited.
I’ll try to find something interesting to talk about in tomorrow’s post.
