These days have not been easy, my mother-in-law was sick for several days but finally passed away yesterday, this has obviously brought a lot of errands to be run in addition to the emptiness and pain left by her departure on family and friends.

In the days before her death her son had to stay with her to attend to her as much as possible and accompany her. Here at home I took the opportunity to do some things, including bathing the cats, which were very dirty, and that day I found a surprise in the gardens of the Urbanization and I have come to share it with you.

I have told you that on several occasions I have the privilege and the blessing of living in a place where I am surrounded by a lot of nature and I love it, I had already seen fungi on the feet of some trunks, but not as I appreciated them that day.

When I went downstairs with one of my beloved cats to dry off in the sun after his bath, I appreciated some shelf-type mushrooms because of the particular way they grow, making life in what is left of the bark of a dead trunk that is around the place acting as a stool and scratcher for cats.

Seeing those mushrooms there was so magical that it transported me for a moment and I imagined myself in a very green forest surrounded by big trees and many ferns. I love ferns, in fact I have one that they call "cacho de venado", they gave it to me a long time ago I had it at home and due to a louse that contaminated it, I took it down to the gardens there it has been in perfect condition.

To be a few minutes in nature and be able to appreciate its harmony, as life is born from something already dead is a privilege, to see how there is a relationship between everything, and although it is not my purpose in writing this post it is sad to see that man is the only living being who cannot live in harmony within that cycle, although that would be a good subject for another publication.

Seeing these mushrooms doing a job, to call it something, made me think or rather remember that we all have a purpose and that no matter how small we may consider it, it is of importance. So, let's get to work. Leave your mark no matter how small it is.
