Hey Actifitters! 💪
The Actifit Arena is live. Six recurring fitness challenges are open right now, they reward real AFIT for verified activity, every finisher can collect badges — and for the first time, any Actifitter can create their own challenge and invite the whole community to it.
This is one of the biggest additions to Actifit in years, because until now your daily activity earned you rewards on your own. The Arena lets you put it up against everyone else's — on a leaderboard, in a duel, or in a challenge you design yourself. 👇
🏟️ What Is The Arena?
The Arena is a new home for competition on Actifit, live at actifit.io/arena.
Instead of only tracking your own steps, you can now enter challenges that score everyone on the same rules and settle automatically when the window closes, for example a weekly step league that ranks every entrant on verified activity. Every challenge shows you its scoring metric, its window, its reward, and a live leaderboard while it runs.
Three things are true of every challenge in the Arena:
- 🆓 Free to enter. There is no entry fee, no stake, no buy-in — ever. Joining a challenge never costs you anything.
- ✅ Decided by verified activity. Your score comes from your own verified Actifit activity reports. No voting, no luck, no chance.
- 🚫 Never pay-to-win. You cannot buy a better placing, and nobody wagers anything against anybody. This is a skill-and-effort competition, by design.
🎯 The Six Launch Challenges
The Arena opens with six official contests, and they recur — so if you miss one window, the next one comes around:
- 🥇 Weekly Step League — climb the weekly leaderboard by staying active every day. Recurs weekly.
- 🎯 Daily Focus Goal — hit your daily step goal and keep your streak alive. Recurs daily.
- 🪜 Season Ladder — a two-week climb to the top of the ladder. Seasonal.
- 🌍 Weekly Global Top-N — compete with the whole community to finish in the global Top-N. Recurs weekly.
- ⚡ Weekend Warrior — a 48-hour weekend blitz. Go all out. Every weekend.
- 🗓️ Monthly Live-Ops Event — a month-long event with milestones all the way to the finish. Recurs monthly.
Official contests are funded by Actifit and therefore reward AFIT — the same token you already earn, spend in the market, and can cash out. To keep emissions healthy and fair, official contest rewards are capped at 500 AFIT per person per day.

🛠️ Create Your Own Challenge
This is the part we're most excited about. Head to actifit.io/arena/create and a short wizard walks you through it: name it, pick the type, set the window, choose how it's scored, decide who can join — and pick the reward.
You get two ways to reward your players:
- 🏅 Badge only — free, open to everyone. Name a collectible badge, then choose who earns it: the winner only, the top 3 finishers, or everyone who completes the challenge. Costs you nothing to run.
- 🪙 Fund an AFIT prize. Put up a real AFIT prize from your own balance. Winners split it 50 / 30 / 20, a 5% platform fee applies, and funding a prize requires holding at least 20,000 AFIT. As the funder you cannot win your own prize, and any unpaid remainder comes back to you when the challenge settles.
You can make a challenge public, or keep it private and share it by link — handy for a squad, a gym, or a friendly grudge match. 😄
🎖️ Badges You Actually Keep
When a challenge settles, earned badges are recorded against your result — and they show up in two places: on the challenge page next to the finishers who earned them, and in a new Arena Challenge Badges section on your Actifit profile.
Badges are only awarded to people who actually put in verified activity, because otherwise anyone could spin up a challenge and hand themselves a trophy for doing nothing. And because anyone can create a challenge, badges from community-made challenges carry a small "Community" marker — so an official Actifit badge is always distinguishable from one a user minted themselves.
⛓️ Built On Hive, Signed By You
The Arena is chain-first. When you join, leave, or create a challenge, your client broadcasts a signed actifit_arena operation to the Hive blockchain using your own posting key. Actifit's backend then indexes what the chain says.
That means the record of who entered, who competed, and how a challenge settled is public, verifiable Hive history — not a number in a private database we could quietly change. Results are signed, and they're auditable by anyone. 🔍

- Open actifit.io/arena (or tap The Arena 🏆 in the top menu).
You will also find it right on the Actifit home page:
- Pick a challenge that fits how you already move, and hit Join — it's free.
- Keep posting your activity reports as usual. Your score updates automatically while the challenge runs.
- When the window closes, rewards and badges are settled and credited for you.
That's it. No entry fee, no extra app, no separate wallet. If you're already tracking your activity with Actifit, you're already qualified. 🏃♀️🏃
🔭 What's Next
This is the first release of the Arena, however we're already building on it from here — more challenge types, richer badge artwork, squad-versus-squad brawls, and more ways to reward the community.
