Time for some food shots... Seems I haven't posted food in awhile. That's a must!

Had some nice food when we were in Bali last - I don't think I have posted any food from there yet...

Have a look at these dishes...

Grilled mahi mahi with steamed white rice
The rice came in a cute overturned cone, pyramid-like, part-wrapped in banana leaf, I think
The fish had two wonderful spicy 'sauces' or 'sambal', one which was a mix of chopped raw onion with some lime juice, maybe belacan (shrimp paste) and birds eye chili
Both went very well with the fish!

The chicken satay (sate) came with a different dip than the thick peanut sauce that we are used to
Since the meat was already well marinated, we were expected to use less of the sauce, I think, as it came in a very small saucer
Whereas Malaysians are used to drench their satay or totally bury their satay with peanut sauce!

Near twilight in a nice outdoor atmosphere
No moskies surprisingly... I think the effective use of natural deterrents grown nearby, worked! (aka lemongrass or locally known as 'serai')
