OCDB Whitelist Application

#newsteem in full force and I already like the looks of trending and how things have been evolving around here. I've already had a lot of talks with Steemians about the usage of Hive account@ocdb, many are a lot more careful with using max bids depending on the effort and quality of the content and that's amazing to see. Many of the more established ones have also stopped using it completely which is also great, we hope they will use their earned stake through OCDB well in the future through curation and of course downvoting! I'm hoping that over time OCDB can focus more on newcomers and giving them their kickstart into their Steem journey along with assistance from Hive account@ocd curation and Hive account@ocd-witness slider delegations that we have been actively doing as of late. Without getting too much into all the activity of Hive account@ocd lately as I have my hands super full right now I want to keep this post short.

We've had three Whitelist application/recommendation posts in the past and with the new HF we want to offer more active users on the blockchain another chance to join the whitelist who write high effort and quality original content. For those completely unaware of Hive account@ocdb, it works like this:

• Hive account@ocd team of curators curate your post and add you to the compilation post, this gets you whitelisted normally
• this means you can now use Hive account@ocdb daily by sending it a 2-20 SBD bid for your post, you decide how big the bid should be but keep the downvotes of the community in mind.
• you get a 2.25x ROI upvote as of now (10% goes to the SPS and 50% goes to curators)
• votes are now instant up to 4 day old posts, so you choose when you want to boost your post but here also remember that a lot of attention may also bring in more downvotes
• for more details on how you should use it without possibly being the target of downvotes or getting removed from the whitelist, check out these guidelines
• Vouching for authors through voting on the recommendation or commenting on it has an effect on the outcome depending on the accounts doing the vouching

How to apply for the OCDB whitelist

1. Recommend a username or your own for the whitelist
2. Add a few examples of their recent posts that portray their general quality
3. If they aren't the highest quality authors but you feel they should be on the whitelist due to other reasons (such as what they do on/for Steem) then let us know what that is
4. Has to be english content or english + native

There are no limits to how many you can recommend.
Not everyone will make it on the whitelist, we will check each manually and make an unanimous decision.
Check that the user isn't already in the whitelist to save us some time

The stricter guidelines recently posted will also take effect the chances of whitelisting a recommended user.
