While this isn't as exciting as the previous post, thought I'd get it out there as well as it's finished and implemented now.
This is however quite a unique thing on Hive as well I don't believe I've seen anyone else attempt. I'm testing it right now with a 10k hp delegation to 
Delegating HP to scrobble.life gets you subscriptions.
Instead of paying $2 or $5 (tier 1/2) per month in hive/hbd to subscribe and reap the perks that come with it (50% of value in agent token usage and 25% in translation tokens), you can now delegate to make up for the subscription cost instead.
I.e. if it costs 50 hive to subscribe right now at 50 hive ($2), by delegating 10k hp you may provide
This is basically another way to subscribe by utilizing your hive power rather than liquid rewards.
The cool thing about this is that:
the stake is used to support authors in the community and may get more intricate over time with some experimental curation aid from AI.
it's like passive subscription earnings rather than having to spend liquid hive
if you have enough hive power to delegate, it also enables sub gifts.
Meaning that, if I were to delegate let's say 100k hp, I'd make up for roughly 10 subscriptions in one month, so I could now use my other 9 subs to gift them to users in the community.
Naturally if the price of Hive goes up then your delegation covers more subs as well. The bot calculates delegators daily and tracks them over time, so updated delegations or undelegations still get you your accurate subscription discount or overflow (if your delegation earns more than 1 sub or if you wanna subscribe a higher tier whcih continues to give a 75% value back through LLM tokens)
The curation rewards are however owned by scrobble.life, I want to make this part clear, by delegating all you're achieving is subscriptions rather than hive rewards back like other services such as 
So while I don't expect many to delegate, it was a fun thing to do and test and I'm looking forward to see how it evolves as hive hopefully makes a correction to the upside and I'd be able to gift more people subscriptions and experiment with that. (also outside subscribers, i.e. users who haven't used scrobble.life yet to receive gifted subscriptions)
Creator Subscriptions are still something I'm almost done with and am hoping to finalize soon, a few people have already applied some stickers and emoji's through decentmemes.com/backstage for their scrobble.life creator subscriptions so I'm hoping that with delegations people will be able to play around with that as well when those go live.
Anyway, exciting things happening and I'm just grateful to be able to produce all of these things thanks to AI and lately of course also thanks to the DHF that's been sponsoring AI subscriptions to myself and a few other people on Hive.

Another quick mention of what we've been adding lately, a https://scrobble.life/person page with actors who have frequently been logged in recent movie and tv show scrobbles, for subscribers we're working towards doing some more math behind the scenes so that if they ever log a movie and wonder "hmm where have I seen that actor before?" they may get some aid from scrobble.life as you can see below in the "people you keep seeing" category (naming may change :P):
Followed by this page after clicking on the actor, highlighting the movies you've seen them in and all other movies that have been scrobbled so far, pretty cool I must admit :P
Thus we'll continue to provide subscribers with more perks over time, we just rather come up with new and enticing ways to do so which under the hood do cost us some resources rather than "take away" existing features as some web2 and even "web3" projects here on hive have done in the past. 🙄😜
We've also been working on more ways for community to help enrich data through contributions, more about that in another post! One easy way would be to get a TMDB API key but unfortunately at $150/month cost it's not something we can afford currently as you may understand, but maybe through contributions, giving quests xp and consumer rewards towards that we can make up for the rest of the internet closing up their borders or adding tolls everywhere they can.
