After being on Hive since March 2018, I've always wanted to go to a Hive Fest. I followed the online versions, but I never really went physically to one so far. My timetable is quite full with my offline job and the activities of my kids, so that there was always something in the way so far. Therefore, I'm even happier that I've managed to free some time to go to Split this year. I'll be attending from 10th to 12th of September. Unfortunately, work obligations won't allow me to stay longer.
My ticket is bought, my flight and my hotel room are booked and if everything goes according to plan, I will be able to join the opening drinks in Paradiso Bar on 10th of September. I will probably be a bit late but I will try to make it.
I'm not an utterly shy person but I'm not very outgoing either and even though I probably exchanged some words with many people who will attend, it's still something else to meet them in real life. In Split, I will represent the Liotes project with @ph1102. We have started Liotes in March 2021 and we talk together on a very regular basis over discord and hive. However, we have never met in real life so far. So I'm really looking forward to that.
@ph1102 has attended Hive Fest in Amsterdam and he also met several people on other occasions, so I hope that I can rely on him to introduce me to some people and that I won't be lost in a corner all by myself lol.
I'm quite nervous for the presentation that we are going to give about Liotes. We are working on it but it's going to be stressful to present it in front of an audience.
My wife will attest that I spend way too much time on hive and she is not totally wrong about it. I found a lot of things on hive that I enjoy. It allows me to interact with people as much as I want. Thanks to hive, I could give birth to many ideas and projects that I always wanted to create. It's an outlet for my creativity and I really enjoy it.
I expect that being able to attend hive fest in Split and meeting many hivians in real life, will change my future hive experiences and I also believe that in such places ideas can be exchanged that can allow hive to evolve and become even better. I'm looking forward to see if things will turn out that way.
