The power of imagination can take anyone to almost any distant land, in parallel and mysterious worlds, in the future, in the past, in the arms of a girlfriend or boyfriend they haven't seen before, and according to Alber Einstein, it can also create the future. I believe that a very small part of what I call the present was created by my ethos-filled imagination, and that having the ability to create worlds only with the power of thought is not an option for me.

However, I use my imagination very often, in both a creative and destructive way, and today I decided to play a game of imagination and "travel through time", tacking you with me as passengers. No, I will not try to go in the future to find out the price of Bitcoin in a year from now, or to see if in ten years I will still be active as a blogger but, I will share with you some time traveling that I would like to have, to meet certain personalities that marked me.

I would start this journey in a not too distant time, to meet my grandfather, one of the two I had, and who died when I was only a month old. According to my parents and my grandmother, he was very ill in the last years of his life, and died quite young at almost 57 years old. What fascinated me was the fact that, in the last year of his life, he seemed to be clinging with his teeth to every other day he could count, waiting for me to be born. His only purpose in life left was to see his first grandson, to touch him, and to talk to him.

I was born on August 14, 1986, and he died on September 23, the same year. He met me, even if in an incipient form of what I am now, I could say, and if I could travel in time, I would certainly spend a ticket on such a journey, to know him, to talk to him and thank him for trusting me more than I ever did. Otherwise I don't see why he would have wanted so badly to see his newborn grandson.

Speaking of grandparents and the elderly, I would also visit, through these imaginary time travels, which for you probably sound very childish, my spiritual grandfather, if I could call him that. I would visit Nisargadatta Maharaj, the man who, through his books, unveiled many mysteries, and completely changed my perception of realities and concepts, and I would certainly ask him quite a few questions. I even dedicated a post to him a few days ago, so if you want more details about this personality, I invite you to read it.

I come from a Dacian people, I live in a rather poor country but, with a very rich and eventful history, and although history is not my strong point, I would like to meet Decebalus per Scorilo. The last king of Dacia who faced the Roman empire and who put painful obstacles in the way of the Romans in their attempt to expand their empire over seas and lands. The inexhaustible sources of history speak with great respect and admiration about Decebalus, considering him one of the emblematic rulers of Dacia, him being a fearless and country-loving man, that would die for his mother land. A man like him you rarely meet in Romania these days. A true Dacian.

I mentioned Decebalus in the previous paragraph, but he was not the only world-famous ruler of these lands. Not long ago, Romania had Nicolae Ceausescu as its communist dictator for several decades, and although it seemed that he would lead Romania to his death, in the end Romania killed him. He was executed on December 25, 1989, together with his wife, shortly after the 1989 revolution broke out, but he remained in the memory of many Romanians.

Many of us remember him as the man who managed to fully pay Romania's national debt, as the dictator under whose leadership the Romanian economy, industry and agriculture prospered tremendously, but also as the one who forbade the Romanians to leave their country, the one who restricted many freedoms, and who ordered many persecutions. I was only three years old when he was killed but, I would like to meet him and ask him a few fundamental questions.

As I said, the imagination has no limits, so I admit that one of the world personalities who attracted me a lot and to whom I have a huge respect, is Nikola Tesla. The father of alternating current, radio transmissions, neon lamp and induction motor, would certainly "benefit" from a visit from me. The questions I would ask him would not be related to physics, or electricity, but I would be very curious what motivated him to work for all his inventions and dedicate his life to humanity basically.

What made such a great man wake up in the morning, give up even the idea of getting married and starting a family, and dedicating a lifetime to the work he put in, and from which we benefit, almost all of us, in almost any corner of the world? Wouldn't you be curious to see what a day in the life of the great inventor Nikola Tesla looks like? I certainly would be.

I admit that my imagination knows no bounds, and I would probably soon be in the middle of dinosaurs, or indigenous tribes, but it would be time to end this childish game, and creative at the same time, and go out for a walk, taking advantage of the sun I've been waiting for a few days. But what about you, if you could travel in time, in what places would you fly, and who would you like to meet?
