The way human memory works is more than a mystery to me and I have never tried to understand it deeply, but the way in which certain sequences from movies or personal life appear in front of my eyes is amazing... and again a mystery. For example, today I remembered, without deliberately trying this, the movie Click, with Adam Sandler. If you haven't watched this movie I can tell you briefly that its subject is related to a remote control of the Universe, that Sandler finds, and which he uses to play backwards and forwards episodes in his life. Most of the time he goes ahead to skip of scenes he doesn't like, or finds boring or annoying.
Although at that time I watched the movie I hadn't heard about AI, as soon as I had this flash of memory related to the movie, the first thing that came to my mind was AI. The second was my blog here and how I would use AI to write my posts ... daily. In fact, I would not write them anymore, but rather I would dictate them. Yes, this is how I sometimes see such a robot dancing on the Steem stage. As a small servant ready to do everything for me and help me get rid of the less enjoyable parts of writing and editing, almost like that remote control helped Adam Sandler "jump over tasks" but accomplish them at the same time in the movie Click.
I admit that I like to keep my blog alive, but I do not like typing so much and I do not want to vlog either just to avoid typing. I'm a person that enjoys talking, but not in front of the camera, and often to put on the page everything that goes through my head for a post, I have to "beat the drums keyboard" for a while. If I had such help at hand I would dictate everything. I would ask him to look for relevant links in relation to certain information that I mentioned, I would ask him to search for himself the best and representative pictures for the given topic and of course to integrate them in the page "at the place" their". Last but not least, I would ask it to post everything at the "most appropriate" time of the day. Trying to make everything perfect...
I... would just sign and accredit my work. That's it. Much like many "chief editors" do today in media. They don't have AI to do that though, but human intelligence. I would be like a CEO at a big company that signs everything the secretary puts on his desk and he has full confidence that everything goes as it should. But would I really like such a servant and entitle it with such tasks? NO. For the simple fact that I did not put my energy on every detail of this blog. The blog is the subject of this little exercise of imagination just to have a point of reference. Like Adam Sandler, I would "push the buttons" on this remote control of Aladin in much more aspects of my life.
However, I would refuse such intelligent help without thinking twice. I'm kind of obsessed with control and I like to do things from A to Z. I like to take part in activities and I think that human's unique touch in almost any creation is priceless, especially for the creator, and no AI can match it. Certainly, in the future even cooks who will "do the job good" will be some sort of AI, but food will not taste the same.
What makes us unique as a specie is the energy we emanate, each and one of us to a certain extent, and although at the moment I would put AI in different public institutions to work, I wouldn't let him work too much for me, directly. If we are to get the technology to do almost everything for us then what good is there for us on earth? I believe that the daily activities required to our lives and the efforts we put into different activities are major factors in maintaining exemplary physical and mental health and that's what makes us human and make food taste good. Hence I can't say I love typing so much for a simple post on Steemit, but I wouldn't leave it in the hands of AI either.
