The internet was about unlimited freedom, access to vast amounts of data and connecting the world beyond the physical, and for a while it all worked well, but as we get down the rabbit hole it seems that Orwell's predictions are gradually coming true.
It seems that Denmark is pushing recently to deny access to internet for children under the age of 16. I get it... They want to restrict the young ones from accessing unlimited amounts of porn, shitty games and music and wasting vast amounts of time talking with each other.
In reality it's not about that. It's about these damn digital IDs that the UK is beating the drum on for a while. Sooner than later every internet user will have to provide proof of identity so that kids don't use their parents' phones, or come with all sorts of solutions to circumvent such control. It's like the 9/11.
They invent a crisis so that they can restrict more and more of our freedoms. Oh, and chat control... The EU has announced that chat control is right around the corner meaning that as of 2026 or 2027 governments will have access to any private chat of any messaging app, except in the case of some politicians and similar personalities...
At least that's what Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram talked about recently on Twitter. Shit is about to hit the fan in Europe and it's going to make such a mess. It's already clear that the EU doesn't like private crypto, and now it seems that it's having a war on private conversations too.
And we say Russia is shit... However, the majority will live their lives unaffected because they don't care... In the sense that "I am not doing anything illegal, so this doesn't affect me". Oh, it will, because my gut feeling is telling me AI is gonna be fed with huge amounts of data coming from private conversations too.
I know it sounds creepy and it also sounds impossible but think of how many times you talked with someone in real life about a topic while having your phone near, or having a phone conversation and when opening an internet browser after the talk you get bombarded with ads on the shit you were talking about.
The matrix is real and it is about to get more and more obvious. Things aren't gonna get better, but on the contrary... That's probably why private coins have had quite a surge in price over the past few months. Soon cash is going to be targeted by the police state, and that's when the chain around our necks is going to become painfully tight.
But hey, at least we have a new iPhone model coming out every year and tens of thousands of sugary products to pick from supermarkets across the world. The modern world looks to be a blessing and a curse at the same time... But hey, life goes on. Have a great weekend ahead and catch up with you all next time.
