I hear quite often the saying that life's not fair, and although I don't resonate with it at all, I understand it and I get where it was born. Well, it practically has multiple birth places sort to speak, but I can say that I know some of them, and the most revealing ones are there where highly gifted people, living under the radar, were born and consume their days on earth.
I am not the type watching TV shows, because I don't have a TV cable anymore. The TV is still collecting dust in the living room, after my parents left it there, but I haven't used a TV on a regular basis for like over 15 years, and it's nothing to be proud of, but a simple reality. I don't see almost any value in watching it. I don't have Netflix either and never will.
Youtube however, is one of my faves in killing time, and I consume tons of videos everyday. I don't have a niche there either, as I don't have on my blog. It's randomness that creates space over there as in here. Having my account logged in I get video recommendations every day based on my previous preferences, and it kind of makes my life easier.
Now, you probably know that type of show America's Got Talent, and you should know that we have our own version as well, and quite often it has offered to its public, true artists, undiscovered human beings that can make you share some tears, involuntary, if you are the sentimental type when witnessing majestic moments.
No tears from yours truly this evening, but a sentiment of amazement and gratitude, really filled my stoned heart. I just watched a few minutes ago, a short clip of this show, having as the center of gravity one Romanian mechanic participating in the contest, by singing I (Who Have Nothing) · Tom Jones, almost as better as Tom Jones did, or even better...
Yep, a mechanic with no music diploma, no schooling, no Grammy awards, no MTV streaming his music, no nothing. Just pure talent and a golden voice that got him that well known and deserved golden buzzer. Man... how this guy can sing, and he's just a mechanic. I guess though that you don't have to be anything to be gifted and express art in its purest way, but having all that talent doesn't guarantee shit. It's probably his fault as well for not getting more exposure on his talent, but it's this society that is not consuming art anymore either.
Otherwise I don't get how Lil Wayne can have millions, and this mechanic with such a golden voice can only have an average salary in an Eastern Europe country, staying under the radar, and getting his hands dirty every day. I have said it before and will say it again, music reflects very clear us, as a modern society and evolved human consciousness, and if Lil Wayne is on top music charts, and voices like the one that I am sharing with you is simply a nobody, we're kind of screwed.
By screwed, I mean that I don't see nations, ever getting to true art, quality music, live music, and the taste for beauty. True beauty, natural beauty, empowering beauty. All, that we kind of lost in the mid 90's. I still remember being a child, that a HIT was a HIT for years back then, and you only had like about 20 new HITs per year, and now two weeks after a HIT is released and it's already old and dated, with ten others fighting for its title.
I guess the consumerism behavior is being reflected not only through clothes and gadgets, but also through music, and other forms of art. Sad, but true, we have artists singing in metro stations and shitheads performing on national arenas. That says a lot about where we've got in this mad run of modern evolution. I guess we've become more modern than evolved, or it's probably that I got too sentimental, after watching this man singing.
Won't bother any longer with my ramblings, so I will share with you this short video clip to see for yourselves. I doubt it has English subtitles for the jury's comments, but they're not that important. It's that voice and the golden buzz that say more than a thousand words would.
