I took so many pics on my road trip to Transalpina last Sunday. I've already posted a few, but I still have about 20 more that I want to share. The photos I'm sharing with you now were not taken from Transalpina Road but from the miles we had to drive before reaching it.
Only a small portion of the entire drive is easily passable. The rest is filled with twists, turns, ups, and downs. So, if you have a weak stomach, it's probably best not to venture on this road.
The mist that covered the road almost entirely made driving a bit challenging, but at the same time, it gave the scenery a mystical look. Passing through these remote places with few inhabitants felt like stepping back in time.
Why anyone would choose to live in such an area is beyond my imagination... But what's even more mind-boggling is why anyone would stay once they had the chance to leave. I understand the shepherds, as there are quite a few in these areas, but I don't understand the rest of the people.
I would love to spend a couple of days out there in the wilderness, surrounded by mountains and clear skies, breathing in the fresh air. However, I wouldn't want to stay there for too long. Some people have probably spent their entire lives in that area, so who am I to judge...
