Today Splinterlands gaming journey brought another happy moment for me I added a new card to my collection. The card is called Swamp Spitter. I had my eye on this card for quite some time. Finally, I got the opportunity to buy it from the market and bought it. As you can see in the picture, the card was priced at 243.55 DEC when I bought it. I don't just buy a new card, but I see this purchase as part of gradually strengthening my card collection.
Swamp Spitter is a Common Unit card from Water Splinter. At first glance, the artwork of the card seemed quite interesting to me. It shows a powerful frog-like warrior with a weapon in his hand and a large hat on his head. The whole design has a distinct feeling of a swamp or swamp environment. Among the cards in Splinterlands, I always like cards that have different features in both artwork and gameplay. Swamp Spitter seemed like a pretty good addition to me in that regard.
That is, it is not a low-Mana card at all. In battles where there is a lot of Mana, there is a lot of opportunity to use this type of card. On the other hand, in battles with low Mana, it may not always be convenient to use a card that costs 7 Mana. So when using Swamp Spitter, my first thought will be the ruleset of the battle and the total Mana Cap. I think that if you understand the right situation and use the card, it is possible to get a lot more effectiveness.
The card has 2 Melee Attack, 2 Speed, 1 Armor and 5 Health in the first level. Looking at these statistics, it can be understood that this is not a weak card made just for attacks. Having 5 Health, it can withstand some damage from the beginning. 1 Armor provides additional protection, which can be useful against the opponent's physical attack at first. On the other hand, 2 Speed is not too high, but not at all low. Since it has 2 Melee Attack, it can create regular pressure on the opponent if it gets the opportunity to attack from the frontline or nearby positions.
The most attractive aspect of Swamp Spitter for me is its Repair ability. Because this ability, the card not only works on its own attack or defense, but can also play an important role in restoring the Armor another card in team. Armor can often change the outcome match in a Splinterlands battle. Especially if there is tank card in front that has good Armor, then if it is possible maintain its Armor with the Repair ability, the entire lineup can survive much longer.
I think this is where the real power of Swamp Spitter lies. Many times we evaluate a card based on only Attack, Speed, and Health. But how important a card with a support ability can be for the entire team is better understood in battle. If a tank's Armor comes back after taking damage repeatedly, the opponent has to attack repeatedly to break the same defensive layer. This gives my other damage dealers more time and the battle situation can turn in my favor.
The picture also shows the higher level stats of Swamp Spitter. The card Attack, Speed, Armor, and Health gradually increase level increases. At level 1 where it has 2 Attack 2 Speed, 1 Armor and 5 Health its stats become much stronger at higher levels. At level 10, it reaches 4 Attack 4 Speed, 3 Armor and 6 Health. At the same time, its Estimated Power also increases a lot. So for me, this is a card that can be considered not only for now but also as a possibility to level up in the future.
Another thing that attracted me was the practical potential of the card. In battle, having only a strong damage dealer does not always win. To create a good lineup, you need a balance between tank, support and damage dealer. Swamp Spitter can also add some offensive capability to that support role. As a result, it seems like a balanced card to me.
I am especially thinking of using this card in battles where the Armor of my frontline tank is important. If the opponent's attack pattern is such that they can quickly reduce my tank's Armor, Swamp Spitter can help that tank by using Repair from the back. This allows my frontline unit to stay in the battle longer. And the longer the frontline lasts, the easier it will be for my damage dealers behind me.
Of course, you can't use the same lineup in every battle. The beauty of Splinterlands is that you have to change your strategy according to the ruleset and Mana Cap in each battle. So after buying Swamp Spitter, my goal will be not only to keep the card in your collection, but also to test its use in different types of battles. I want to gradually understand which tanks it works best with, which ruleset it is most effective in, and which Mana Cap it should be in the lineup with.
After spending 243.55 DEC on this card, I felt that it was not just a simple purchase. Collecting cards in Splinterlands is an important part of my gaming journey. Each new card expands the scope of my strategy a little. In battle situations where I might not have had a suitable option before, after collecting new cards, there is an opportunity to create a new strategy.
My future plans are also clear now. First, I want to use Swamp Spitter in different battles to understand its effectiveness. Then, if I feel that the card is becoming more important for my gameplay on a regular basis, then I will try to level it up gradually.
I would like to say that the experience buying a new Swamp Spitter is quite enjoyable for me. Every time I collect a new card I feel that my Splinterlands journey becomes a little richer.
So Swamp Spitter is now another new member of my collection. I intend to experiment with this card in many more battles ahead. Hopefully, by creating a combination with the right tank and support cards, I will be able to achieve better battle results. For me, Splinterlands is not just a game, but a continuous experience of learning strategy and improving my gameplay with each new card. Swamp Spitter has been another new and important addition to that journey for me.
