I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your time in world Splinterlands. Today I am back with another post about my card collection. Many you already know that I enjoy playing Splinterlands and improving my account by collecting cards that I think will be useful in battles. Each card has its characteristics and I always try to find cards that can help me build stronger teams. Today I purchased a Fire monster named Tenyii Striker. I would like to share my thoughts about this purchase with you.
Why I Decided Buy Tenyii Striker
Sometimes a card looks simple at first. After studying its statistics and abilities I begin to understand how it could become useful in my collection. Tenyii Striker caught my attention for this reason.
According to the screenshots I purchased one copy of this card for 66.32 DEC. I know that every purchase should have a purpose. I wanted to choose a card that could give me another option when preparing my team. I do not expect each purchased card to win battles on its own.
I can test combinations change my strategy and learn which cards work best together. That is one of the reasons I continue to enjoy playing Splinterlands.
A Closer Look at Tenyii Striker
Tenyii Striker is a Rare Fire monster with a mana cost of 5. At level 1 the card has 2 melee attack, 2 speed, no armor and 6 health. These statistics give me a starting point for thinking about how to use it in battle.
Sometimes I have mana to build a powerful team with several expensive monsters while other times I must carefully select lower-cost cards. A five-mana monster gives me another option when I have room for a card that can contribute to my strategy.
Its 2 melee attack is useful to consider when planning a team. However attack strength is one part of a monsters value. Its position, speed, health, abilities and the rules of the battle can all influence its performance. I want to test Tenyii Striker in situations rather than judge it only by the numbers shown on the card.
Understanding Its Ability
One detail in the screenshot is the ability icon displayed for Tenyii Striker.
At levels its statistics also improve. For example its melee attack increases from 2 to 3 at level 3 while its speed increases to 3 at level 2.
At level 4 the card gains an ability. Further improvements arrive at levels and by level 8 Tenyii Striker reaches 5 melee attack and 4 speed with 7 health.
This progression gives me a reason to think about the cards potential. I currently own one copy, from this purchase so I will need copies if I decide to upgrade it.
Than collecting copies without a plan I prefer to improve cards that I can actually use in battles.
How I Plan to Use This Card
My main goal is to make my Splinterlands collection more useful and flexible. I want to have options to adjust my lineup according to the rules and mana limit of each battle.
Tenyii Striker will give me another Fire monster to consider when preparing a team. I plan to test Tenyii Striker with monsters and summoners to see which combinations work best.
I also want to pay attention to the battle rules before selecting Tenyii Striker. Different rulesets can change the value of monsters so I should not assume that the same lineup will work equally well in every match.
One important detail is that the purchase screen states that Tenyii Striker is playable in Wild and Survival. It also indicates that a Wild Pass is required for access to Wild Ranked play.
Collecting Cards One Step at a Time
One thing I have learned from playing Splinterlands is that improving an account takes time. There is no need to build everything in a day. Every card I collect is another step toward creating a stronger and more versatile collection.
Sometimes I focus on purchasing a monster while on occasions I prefer to save resources for a future opportunity. I try to consider the cost of each purchase and whether Tenyii Striker could serve a purpose in battles.
Spending 66.32 DEC on Tenyii Striker was another step in developing my collection. I hope this purchase will give me opportunities to experiment with different team combinations. Course I understand that buying Tenyii Striker does not guarantee better results. My own decisions, knowledge of the rulesets and understanding of my opponents will remain important.
That is also part of the enjoyment for me. Each battle gives me an opportunity to learn something. Even when a strategy does not work as expected I can review the result. Make adjustments for the next match.
My Thoughts About This Purchase
I am happy to add Tenyii Striker to my collection. It may be one card but every addition gives me another possibility to explore. I enjoy looking at the statistics checking the level progression and thinking about the ways Tenyii Striker might fit into future lineups.
I am particularly interested in seeing how Tenyii Striker performs alongside existing Fire monsters. I will need to test Tenyii Striker in battles before deciding how frequently I want to include Tenyii Striker in teams.
I also like the fact that Tenyii Striker has an upgrade path. Tenyii Strikers statistics improve as it levels up and additional abilities become available at levels. This gives me something to work toward if I find that Tenyii Striker performs well for my playstyle.
For now I am satisfied with this purchase. My collection continues grow and I hope make more improvements in future. I will keep learning testing strategies and looking for cards that can help me enjoy game even more.
Final Thoughts
Splinterlands remains a game for me because there is always something new explore. Collecting cards improving their levels testing combinations learning from battles all make the experience interesting.
My purchase Tenyii Striker is another part that journey. I am looking forward using this Rare Fire monster in battles finding out how well Tenyii Striker works with other cards.
I know that building a collection requires patience and careful decisions. I will continue working toward that goal one card at a time.
