Greetings all and sundry here on this platform, I welcome you all once again to my blog and today I would be submitting my second entry to the hive Ghana prompt. Today I would be tackling the third topic of this week’s prompt which is about what I wished I had learned earlier in life. Without much ado I would like to set the ball rolling.
First of all, I wish that I had learned how to be confident in the early stage of my life. Having confidence really help one to be fit in everywhere he or she finds himself or herself. It is unfortunate that when I was young I wasn’t a person of confident and this has really deterred me from going in for positions which I was qualified for. I can remember when I was in my Junior High level, my friends were all telling me to stand for the school prefect but because I wasn’t having the confidence to do so and as I write this post I have really regretted not going in for the position.
Also, not developing the habit of reading was one of the things I wish I had learned earlier in my life. Reading is a good skill that helps one to learn and also squire abstract knowledge from books and other learning materials. I wasn’t a good reader when I was young and it was nothing but laziness that was doing me so. Now, I have got to realize the important of reading and as such I am trying to be a good reader. Reading helps to create chances of getting information and opportunities as well from places that you didn’t anticipate. It is embarrassing as a student not beating a good reader because I would wonder how you would learn if you don’t read.
Furthermore, taking risks in doing things is also one of the things that I have regretted not doing earlier. We need to understand that as humans that everything now is about risking. You either risk and win or lose and that is it, and nothing else. I can remember when I joined hive platform and some of my friends were telling me about hive blockchain games but then I was looking at the amount of Hive I would be using to register and did not join at that time, but today as I speak, I hardly find time to write different blog posts other than blockchain gaming posts which is paying in participating challenges and also playing the game as well.
Finally, other things I regretted not learning earlier in life is not investment strategies, not caring to leanr and know my values, not standing up for myself when I was needed to do so, and also avoiding procrastinations. These are some of the things I wish I had learned earlier in life and I think if I had, my life would have been diffenrent from my current style of living but all the same, I grateful to the Almighty for how far he has brought me.
