Life itself is an adventure, let's take the first step.
Truth be honest, when adding a reflection, I don’t know if it is simply about telling an anecdote, or sharing what I have seen through my passion for landscape, bird, and flower photography. I think I have been living with anxiety for too long. Seeing the freedom, determination, strength, and courage with which animals face the world, the outdoors, and the unpredictability of daily life—living on the absolute basics—I have seen them in a constant struggle. They are never, or rarely, at a standstill or resting in one place; that is why capturing the photograph at the exact right moment becomes truly valuable. Every day, being behind the camera, I learn things so subtle that I hadn't perceived them before. Although I might not remember it, perhaps in my childhood those things were common in the lively, joyful, and imaginative mind of my youth. I feel I should accept that I have lost that important "me." That "me" who smiled, who wasn't afraid to try again, the one who loved adventure with caution, but without anxiety.
Why do we let others stop us in our adventure? Have we ever stopped anyone else's adventure? Everyone lives at their own pace. I don’t understand this obsession with having the same dreams or the same success as the majority. We know people don't truly understand what it means to be successful, and anyone who doesn't live under those parameters or an "executive lifestyle" is simply labeled a failure. Fears appear, so diverse and confusing, yet so simple that we believe they won't scare us; but society insists, corrects, and keeps you tied down to chasing or achieving someone else's dreams—status symbols that mean absolutely nothing. I don't think we are giving the right balance to peace, success, and harmony. Perhaps we need to fight hard enough, but without forgetting that seizing an opportunity means following the right path. That path might bring too many bumps and setbacks, but any path is like that. We just have to start the adventure.
