It’s the end of the month, Lily has to go get her groceries from Crystal Mall, the nearest to her estate. Lily never goes to there unprepared and writes down all she needs before getting to the mall.

Hey pretty, can I help you pick that?, Arthur, a young business owner asks politely. Lily is just a five feet tall lady who’s stretching her hands to pick a bottle wine which is very far from her.

Are you trying to say that I’m short? And I’ve been a regular customer for the past two years so I know how I pick my items, she drags the bottle of wine and was about walking away when another bottle of wine almost fell on the floor.

Arthur caught it immediately with his Spider-Man style trying to impress Lily so he could have her number.

Thank you very much, Lily said and hisses at him. Arthur who was thinking he gave the best approach in making Lily fall for him became shocked that she wasn’t moved by his skills.

These two people keep jamming each other at every corner of the mall but Lily wasn’t still finding Arthur worth being her friend nor someone who she can exchange contacts with.
And again on the paying queue, Lily was right behind Arthur.

Ladies first so let her go first, Arthur stepped back for Lily to make her payment. All he aimed at was trying to be a gentleman so that Lily can finally give him a chance to have words with her and they can exchange contacts.

Lily opened her bag to bring out her debit card so she can pay for her items. This was taking longer than expected. The cashier was being calm but those behind her aside from Arthur were already murmuring.

I’m very sorry, everyone. I’m sure I kept my debit card inside my bag. Let me check the corners of the mall, Lily stuttered.
While checking for the debit card, Arthur keeps stepping back for those who were murmuring at the back on the queue.

Did you find the debit card?, Arthur asked but wasn’t expecting a response but suddenly, Lily spoke out in a calm voice.
I didn’t hear you, Arthur said. He never thought Lily was going to respond to him but she finally did and that was a way to get her attention.

Cashier, add her bills to mine, it was as if Lily knew what he was about to say. Arthur was surprised to see Lily switch from not talking to him to jumping on him because he has offered to pay her bills.
The cashier did just that and Arthur and Lily stepped out together then, finally got to talk.

Do you mind if I drive you home? Arthur asked.

I don’t mind but I drove here as well but we can exchange contacts so we can talk more, Arthur was shocked to hear this. Exchanging numbers didn’t even come from him but the lady herself.
The two exchanged numbers and Arthur escorted Lily to her car.

Right after Lily opened her car, she noticed that an item fell off the car. She turned back to see what it was but it was the debit card she was looking for earlier in the mall.

Arthur, just take a look at this. I thought I took this card with me into the mall but I was wrong, she said but Arthur was filled with regrets.

He only offered to pay as a way to trick her of giving her a ride and take her to his house so he could have fun with her but his plan didn’t work out.
Also, the contact he shared with Lily was a fake one. All Arthur does is give girls a fake number so that they never get to reach out to him anymore.

What’s up with your look? Are you good? Lily who’s innocent and doesn’t know Arthur’s plan asked but he pretended to be alright and lied that he was all good.

Finally, they both parted ways. Arthur failed with his plan and learned his lesson of not coming to lure girls at the mall and innocent Lily was happy that she had met the best man in the world.
She kept dialing Arthur’s contact but it never went through.

I miss my God sent angel, that’s what she described Arthur as but she never got the idea or hear it from anyone that Arthur wasn’t the good person whom she thought he is and she was never able to reach Arthur again nor find him at the mall.
