In 1977 the Venezuelan Rock band Resistencia was founded by the Metropolitan University students Ricardo Escobar and César Somoza. Escobar created the band's logo after the name was chosen in reaction to the influence of foreign bands in Venezuela. Together with Rodrigo Yoma Aparici (guitar) and Marco Tulio Ciargo (guitar), the group recorded Made in Venezuela (1982) for the record company Color (Corporación Los Ruices).

Nice history man and nice introduction too at least for me, as I had never heard of these guys before. These guys really know how to play, there is a bit of "Thin Lizzy" influence going on there from what I can hear... If you don't know Thin Lizzy, I would recommend you check them out.
