I'm watching a documentary on Netflix at the moment about Woodstock 1999. It was an absolute disaster as the organisers cut costs for one big payday. They also booked bands that were all about rage and destruction such as Limp Bizkit and Korn which fed the crowd to start breaking things and by the end of the weekend , the mob ruled and burned the place down. The concert was held in a massive decommissioned army base that was just acres of tarmac. During the weekend, the organisers did not leave anyone in with liquids and charged $4 for a bottle of water. The was no shade and people were dropping with sun stroke. Also there was a fratboy atmosphere and it was toxic. I did however enjoy seeing Wyclef Jean getting pelted by bottles. The original organiser of Woodstock Michael Lang dreamed of the 1969 Woodstock which was re-owned for being chilled and everyone had a great time. Jimi Hendrix was probably the most famous act that year and his set went down as one of the best live gigs in history. Jimi was the last act that went on stage on Monday morning at ... wait for it.... 8am. I laughed when I heard that. Imagine heading to one of the most infamous rock gigs with the worlds greatest guitarists at 8am.

That's on my to watch list actually, I just finished All or Nothing last night, so might get stuck into this soon, sounds like an absolute shit show caused by the usual corporate greed. Any time of the day or night would be a good time to go see Jimi, but 8am, jesus people must have been absolutely creased by then or the goody goodies who went to bed at 11pm the night before watching!

His ears must be bleeding at this stage.

Ha ha, not too bad this week, as I split it over two days listening, which is a lot more manageable and your three are the last on the list of 23 this week.

Good shout with Jimi and pretty nuts that neither he, nor Bob Dylan have gotten a Three Tune outing yet, well not that I can remember anyway. Red House takes a while to get going, but when it does, tis quality... Hey Joe and All Along The Watchtower two classics too..
