Our apartment complex has 1 day of recycling a week and people put the stuff that someone else may want in an area where they can leave it for 24 hours until they have to pay to have it removed. I found a nice coat rack, a large pot that I use for boiling stuff that I don't eat in, some paintings I now have on my wall, pretty much every flower pot and vase in my house, and a lovely shelf.
