Hello to all hive users 馃鉂わ笍馃檹
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life馃檪
It is often said that competition is extremely fierce these days, requiring you to stay one step ahead at all times. You have likely heard people describe life as a race where you must constantly lead the pack; to do so, you need to outperform others and be more advanced than your peers. Such sentiments are frequently voiced today, and many people take these ideas seriously, actively working towards achieving that edge.
Striving to get ahead in life is not wrong鈥攊n fact, it is a desirable goal鈥攂ut problems arise when others pressure you to surpass expectations. These individuals push you to achieve more than what is typically expected for your age. Let me cite an example from my own community. Until a few years ago, students aspiring to pursue engineering or medicine would begin preparing for entrance exams only after completing Class 12; until then, they focused solely on their regular school curriculum. However, as competition intensified and others began preparing earlier, pressure mounted on these students as well. Consequently, some started preparing for these entrance exams right after Class 10. This created immense mental strain, as they had to juggle their regular academic syllabus with separate, highly stressful entrance exam preparations. In the process, these children miss out on the joys and experiences typical of their age, focusing entirely on the curriculum instead.

It is becoming increasingly common for children to face excessive pressure regarding various aspects of their lives, particularly in academics, where competition has intensified significantly. While parents strive to provide the best possible education, they often harbor high expectations for their children to excel in return. However, this is not always realistic; a child may not necessarily excel in academics but could thrive and achieve great success in other fields.
It has become increasingly common for children to face excessive pressure regarding various aspects of their lives, particularly in academics, where competition has intensified significantly. While parents strive to provide the best possible education, they often harbor high expectations for their children to excel鈥攁n expectation that is not always realistic. Children may not necessarily thrive in academics; they might excel or make significant strides in entirely different fields. Consequently, many children suffer from mental stress, as they are constantly burdened by the pressure to compete in society and perform exceptionally well in their chosen fields.
There are many people in society who place immense pressure on children; by the time they are around 16 or 17 years old, conversations begin regarding what they will do after Class 12, what careers they will pursue, and what their future holds. This constitutes a form of mental pressure; instead of allowing children to focus on what is appropriate for their current stage of life, the conversation shifts to the future, accompanied by added pressure. This is detrimental, as it deeply impacts the children's minds, often leaving them feeling as though they are already lagging behind.
The real problem in all this arises when children begin to place too much importance on the expectations of others. They fail to realize that the people voicing these opinions are often just looking for a topic of conversation; these individuals form views based on prevailing societal trends and then impose their own expectations on those younger than themselves.
It is not right to think too far ahead of your age, nor is it right to lag too far behind, as time slips away before you realize it. You should be aware of the future without worrying excessively about it; instead, focus on the present moment and consider what actions can be taken to improve the future. There is no benefit in worrying too much about anything; the priority should simply be to make the present better.
