I did this session with Talia taking advantage of the fact that she is a professional clarinetist, as well as a model and photographer. I had to complete the music challenge in 52 frames and I went to her house to see what could we achieve. We start in the living room using the natural light from the windows, copying some poses that we look for on the internet, to break the ice. Then we went to her mini studio, which is nothing more than an empty room with a black cloth in the background (below you will see us in action, thanks to her dad who did not miss a single detail of the session). When I was about to finish, it occurred to me to make a long exposure to capture the movement of the clarinet when the music begins to play. I had brought my ND filters to further darken the scene. I triggered the camera remotely, and while making a three-second exposure, I fired the flash in my hand three times as she began to fan the instrument. You are seeing the result as the cover of this post. One of my best, in my opinion, because it was a single shot, the icing on a delicious cake as that session was.
Hice esta sesión con Talia aprovechando que es clarinetista profesional, además de modelo y fotógrafa. Tenía que cumplir el reto música en 52 frames y fui hasta su casa para ver qué se nos ocurría. Comenzamos en la sala a la luz natural de las ventanas, copiando algunas poses que buscamos en la internet, para ir rompiendo el hielo. Luego pasamos a su mini estudio, que no es más que un cuarto vacío con una tela negra de fondo (más abajo nos verán en acción, gracias a su papá que no se perdía detalle de la sesión). Ya cuando estuve a punto de terminar, se me ocurrió hacer una larga exposición para captar el movimiento del clarinete cuando se comienza a ejecutar la música. Había llevado mis filtros ND para oscurecer aún más la escena. Activé la cámara remotamente, y mientras hacía una exposición de tres segundos, disparé el flash en mi mano tres veces en cuanto ella comenzó a abanicar el instrumento. El resultado lo están viendo como portada de este post. Una de mis mejores, en mi opinión, porque fue un solo disparo, la guinda de un pastel delicioso como lo fue esa sesión.
