We entered an abandoned movie theater. Outside the heat burned and then inside the humidity filled the lungs and made us cough. This is the place!, we told ourselves. And we started to explore human feelings, my friend Yenli and I thought it would be good to project despair, abandonment, given the circumstances. Then in post, brought the images to black and white to increase the feeling that I managed to capture in that session.
Entramos a un cine abandonado. Afuera el calor quemaba y dentro entonces la humedad llenaba los pulmones y nos hacía toser. Éste es el lugar!, nos dijimos. Y empezamos a explorar los sentimientos humanos, mi amiga Yenli y yo, pensamos que sería bueno proyectar la desesperación, el abandono, dadas las circunstancias. Luego en post, llevar las imágenes a blanco y negro para aumentar el sentimiento que logré atrapar en la sesión.
