No Christmas decorations... for now / Sin decoraciones navideñas... por ahora - LOH contest week #268

I'm so sorry I can't show you my Christmas decorations. I'd love to share them with you to get into the festive spirit of this week's contest.
As I mentioned in another post, my family has never had any Christmas traditions. However, my wife and I are trying to create our own. That way, our children will have traditions to pass on to their own children when they have them.
Here's one of the first Christmas decorations we bought. A friend gave us a wreath to hang on the door, but we haven't unpacked it yet.
Right now, we're looking for a small or medium-sized tree to put in the living room.
So, for the time being, I promise to send you all photos of our Christmas decorations for next year. We're not planning anything complicated: maybe a little tree, some lights (Elvira loves lights and keeps her room dimly lit), and lots of ornaments like this one. I swear, this is what I love most about Christmas decorations: the toys.
Someday I'd like to have one of those Nativity scenes that take up a large part of the room and recreate the town of Bethlehem. A Nativity scene with all the figures: the Three Wise Men, Mary, Joseph, and all the other characters.
I saw one like that once, and ever since, it's been a dream of mine. That one was handmade, but I know that somewhere, they must sell something similar.
But, well, that'll have to wait for another year.

Hola, amigas mías.
Lamento mucho no poder mostrarles las decoraciones navideñas de mi casa. Nada me gustaría más que mostrárselas para así cumplir con el espíritu navideño y festivo de concurso de la semana.
Como ya les había dicho en otra publicación en mi familia nunca ha existido esas tradiciones navideñas. Sin embargo tanto mi esposa como yo estamos intentando crear nuestras propias tradiciones. De esa manera nuestros hijos sí tendrán sus tradiciones para pasárselas a los suyos cuando los tengan.
Aquí les muestro uno de los primeros adornos de Navidad que hemos comprado. Una amiga Nos regaló una corona para colgarla en la puerta, pero aún no la hemos desempacado.
Por ahora estamos en la búsqueda de algún arbolito pequeño o mediano para colocarlo en la sala de la casa.
Así que de momento lo que puedo hacer es comprometerme con todas ustedes, de enviarles las fotos de nuestros adornos navideños para el próximo año.
No pensamos hacer nada complicado: el arbolito quizás algunas luces (Elvira es fanática a las luces y la habitación a media luz), y muchos adornos como este. Les juro que esto es lo que más me gusta de la decoración navideña: los juguetes.
Algún día quisiera tener un Nacimiento de esos que ocupan gran parte de la habitación y simulan la ciudad de Belén. Un nacimiento con todas las figuras: Los reyes magos, María, José y demás personajes.
Una vez ví uno así y, desde entonces, es un sueño a cumplir. Aquel fue hecho a mano por ellos, pero sé que en algún lugar, deben vender alguno similar.
Pero, bueno, ya eso quedará para otro año.
