Today I show you an excellent wine from the Rioja denomination that I was lucky enough to taste recently and that I loved. Fame and prices preceded it and it is really worth it.
It is curious to see how a grape like the Garnacha, of Aragonese origin, until recently ousted for its strong flavor and its high alcohol content in wines, is gradually becoming the protagonist of many wines outside its land of origin.
Wine: Fincas de Azabache Garnacha
Winery: Fincas de Azabache
Add: 2019
Alcohol: 14º
Grape: Grenache
Maturation: twelve months in French and American oak barrels and the last six months in the bottle

En is powerful, sweet and with a very long finish. Magnificent balance and confirmation of the flavors of forest fruits.
A highly recommended wine.
