I wanna scream! Like right now, but I gotta hold it in.
Why???
Because I got some connecting dots happening right before my eyes.
Hmmmmm.. Why is she excited?, you might ask.
What do you do when you get an answer to a multi-million question?
I have been asking myself a lot of questions these days centered around how to achieve my set plans for the year. I got a widening - eyed experience March 1st and I realized the year was on a fast pace.
So, What did I discover?
DESIGN-THINKING
You see, I have always had big dreams per year but turning it into a full blown reality was my problem.
I offer you a solution to all problems you have at hand - design thinking!
So how do I use it?
Apply a back-front approach to every challenge you face. Ask yourself this question -
What do I want to achieve?
What is my intended outcome?
This will help you align your thought processes into realistic means.
Highlight your necessary tools or resources needed to achieve the given task or situation
Picture yourself carrying get the task out or facing the challenge from start to finish
Identify the resources you have at hand and those you'll require.Identify your strengths and weaknesses
Have the end at heart per time.
For me, my goal or present challenge is to make impact this year. So how would I do this?
*Mentor 5 teenagers
*Network with 2-female based organizations
*Establish a woman-centred initiative
I have identified my:
*Strength
*Weaknesses
*Resources needed both internally and externally
*Threats
This is simply using Swot Analysis
It's simple - with this tool I have been able to narrow down my thoughts.
What Next?
Carrying it out! It might sound simple but it requires a deliberate effort.
How?
Break your yearly plan into months and days. You'll be surprised how your thoughts will become a reality!
Try this at home
I'm super excited about THIS!
So, how about breaking a bad habit?
Think it through... Identify your prompters to it and nip it in the bud. You got to be intentional to achieve it.
I hope it was value for your time. Thank me later...
