The Youth Care Program (PKPR) is a government program here in Indonesia which aims to improve the quality of health services to adolescents. The health services that this program offers includes disease prevention workshops, counselling, medical clinics and healthy lifestyle courses. This program has been running successfully since 2013.
PKPR Recruitment:
Data collection and the selection of qualifying learners is conducted by health officers appointed by the Community Health Center. The selection process is implemented using the following criteria: the health history of the learners, immunization history, the health status of family members, current health of the learner and the lifestyle and strengths of each individual.
The data is collected by giving learners questionnaires to complete. The information generated determines who will qualify to be included into the program.
