In the laid down principles of life, a child from birth claws till she can walk to running. A step-by-step stage that at each stage is celebrated by the mother and other relatives. The joy it comes with shows how significant it is. That is the joy of a new journey that started with a determination to achieve it bit by bit. Same as in education.
Mushefa, you are hope in the eye of the family. A part of that three lights that light up your family. A motivation to others as you move through this journey. A woman who will make more proud as she moves on to attaining what she deserves for herself. Sweetie, I saw congratulations to you dear on this your journey in the university.
From day one, you moved with hope. A hope many didn’t know what gave you that. The zeal to make your parents proud pushes you through many obstacles. You sailed through with Allah and today we are here to congratulate you on your matriculation.
From those sleepless nights in Tamasco to the midnight prayers after Wassce, you made it here today to study Nursing. A future nurse we all will be proud of. Keep making us proud and happy sweetie.
Life is step by step. Each step has its puzzle we have to fix, for what I can say for this puzzle, you need Allah more than ever. There are times you will learn and won’t be able to write anything. A time will come when you wouldn’t know what to write but yet make a great grade. A time will come when you will be pushed to the wall of temptation. For when each moment one day comes, push your eyes to that family that gets hope from you. Look back to see those children that see you as hope to keep striving. When that time comes, be the one to look up to Allah and ask him for guidance to always help you through. This journey isn’t only a physical journey but a spiritual one as well. Hold unto Allah as we walk this walk to success.
Congratulations to you. You will be that nurse to defile many odds. Be a woman and a nurse, not just a nurse. Study not just the course but add value and heartfelt feelings to what you study. What makes us great in what we do is the human experiences we add to the knowledge we give in school. Everyone studies nursing, but what makes them, special? Model your behavior, and your character, add Allah to it, and when we one day say the greatest nurses, you will be one In sha Allah.
To this journey, it won’t be easy. Study but don’t let the grades be your focus point. Learn to live the moments of the university. It’s through those moments we learn to be the best at what we study after school. Grades aren’t everything. Having your life and an average GPA is what makes it. Live a life you will be proud of one day, not a GPA you will be proud of and doesn’t have a life to boast of in the university. This is my message to you, sweetie.
Make friends. Choose them well. They are those that will add more memories to your life at the university. Choose them well. Choose those that will tell you “You deserve it” when you get a great grade and say “You did your best. Keep moving” when things aren’t going on right. They are your fuel throughout the journey in school. Choose people that will refill your zeal to make your parents proud rather than those that will be the ones to drain you with the little energy you have. Decorate your school life with great friends and you will be glad you had them even after graduation. Congratulations to you all.
