A typical Nigerian would not have loved to choose jollof rice and chicken as their best food or favorite meal, this is what is served most at every party or little celebration you attend. You would be left with no option but to take a little rice and most times the meat would be the first thing to finish 馃槂馃槀.
Another meal commonly served in Nigeria is the swallowed food, the likes of amala and pounded yam with some soups like egusi and ewedu respectively. Nigerians would prefer to take them to jollof rice which has already become a common or general meal.
One man's food is another man's poison, this saying never gets old. And just the basic facts about life. Though the quotes work fine with all examples as it鈥檚 perfect for food too.
There was a time a friend of mine invited me to have dinner with him. He prepared the dinner to his taste and likeness thinking I would enjoy the meal just like he would. On getting to serve me he expected me to smile and give him some accolades for his culinary skills. But actually, I couldn鈥檛 take the food because he spiced it all with onions 馃 and I am not a lover of onions, I am allergic to the taste so anytime I take them they make me vomit.
Cutting the long story short. My favorite food is nothing other than the sumptuous and delicious delicacy, a delicacy that bursts the brain and blows the mind, a delicacy that makes your tummy turn on its own. It鈥檚 no other meal than BEANS AND FRIED PLANTAIN.

After allowing it to boil together then you can add your onions and some salt too.
