January Hive Power Up: Starting Small to Growing Bigger.
Good day to you all here on hive. It’s another beautiful day here on the earth's surface. Life is just so amazing, who would have imagined we are now on the 2nd day of the new year and with time we would be counting down to a few more days before the year runs to an end?
One thing is that we have to be more focused and make sure to do things at the right time. Procrastination just does a lot to consume one's time and at the end of it all, there would be nothing meaningful out of one's time.
It’s a pleasure to be among those who are to power up this very month. I made a promise to myself last month that I would make sure I power up for the month. It was easy said then, but working towards accomplishing that almost became a nightmare for me.
Yesterday was gone and yet I wasn’t able to do that. But I remembered the promise I made to myself to make sure I get something done for the month. A part of me whispered, “the amount is too small, how would you have to power up such a small amount?”.
I thought to myself again, why not START small and GROW bigger…
This must have inspired me to get my first POWER-UP DAY.
How well have I grown financially over the last year?

The picture above is a summary of how much I have grown last year. It’s a little disappointing that at some point I felt like not uploading it here. But I don’t think I should be ashamed of myself. It’s all about dedication and determination. I should use that as motivation instead.
Last year was hectic for me, so I wasn’t that active, but I still accomplished a little. I was able to accumulate a total of 305HP for the year and made some engagements too. 305HP might seem small to some but I believe I improved more than some other people too.
About powering up I was able to power up with 26HP. Too small? As I said I am starting somewhere…

After receiving some payouts from my write-ups. I was able to accumulate some HBD and I had planned on making sure I used them for something better. I was about to trade it for hive and maybe I would sell out those hives I generated. I converted 2.5 HBD into 10 Hive at a value of 0.257 market price.
The market isn’t so friendly for now. But I believe that it’s also the best in some other way. Because every occurrence should have an advantage and disadvantages. The positive side of the bear market is being able to take opportunities. So it was a successful transaction after the confirmation of the hive signer.
My current HP.
You might wonder why my hp is so low compared to my total ho accumulated for last year. As I said there are times when a lot of unexpected things happen. Things we never prepared for. I was financially down towards the end of the year which made me power down for some weeks and I had to end it so quickly when I got a little stable, it wasn't nice for me but I just had to get something done.
Today, the 2nd of January 2023, after successfully trading in the market, I was able to power up an additional 10 HP to my former 175HP amounting to a total HP of 185.
It’s so nice seeing the gradual growth of my account. I don’t know if it's so much fun and great to keep powering up. From today on I would make sure I am always doing my best to power up every month and another promise I am trying to make today is to always make it bigger than the previous month.
SETTING SOME GOALS FOR THE MONTH.
Goals sometimes get easier and look smaller than expected, and at times it comes so bigger and scarier than expected. I would love to set a target for myself before the next power-up I would be having here. This is for me to be able to look back and reflect on my performance so far.
My HP
I would love to grow bigger and stronger. I want to see myself accomplish at least an additional 200 HP to my present HP. I would do that by setting some of my payouts (this included) to 100% HP. I hope I get that done as time goes on.
MY ENGAGEMENT
I am yet to know if there is a tracker for comments and posts. But I would do manual counts of my articles created. This would be my second article for the month and I would love to see myself submit at least 30 articles for the month. Which amounts to at least 1 WRITE UP PER DAY.
And for my comments section. I might have to keep myself engaged and use a count of my followers to know how well I have engaged so far. I presently have 70 followers and I would love to see it get to 100 by this time next month. This must have shown how well I performed in the comments section through engagement.
I would be working on these two for a month since I am trying to start small and grow bigger. I am praying for a better, more productive, and prosperous year ahead for everyone. See you again.
