Robber Fly with Its Prey

Right there, on the rope, a small robber fly with its prey standing against the breeze that came out from my backyard. The breeze troubled me in taking shots but I had to do what I had to do. I determined to get some pictures of this robber fly that, I must say, rarely visited my house. So, I managed to focus as closely as possible while getting rid of the breeze and after some time trying, I was finally able to capture some pictures of this predatory insect with its prey. At glance, if we pay closer attention to its act, the reason it stood calmly was kind of a moment of waiting for the prey. It is known as the predatory insect that capable of catching prey while flying and ups....it finally got one.

Robberfly belongs to the Asilidae, also called assassin flies. They are powerfully built, bristly flies with a short, stout proboscis enclosing the sharp, sucking hypopharynx
