The world we live in today is silently drifting away from the consciousness that our interpersonal relationships with people physically or even on a social media platform is not just a function of what we have to gain, what the other party has to offer, or even how much we could possibly endanger in our lives by being in contact with that person. But the truth is for whatever reason in any society we get in touch with a new face, someone with a completely different view or religion from what we already know to be true, at that point what really matters shouldn't just be about our personal intesrests and rules for interaction with new faces, but first let it be about the other person's lifestyle, let it be about the other party's mindset and charisma towards life and his attitude personally with people.
So briefly I want to walk you through many scenes and scenarios where people in some parts of the world do ignore new faces and potential friends they meet in the society based on their personal ideology about that person even without meeting the individual.
The CONCEPT OF BACKGROUND.
A lot of us can agree with me that at some point so far on journey in life we have had opportunities that have lead us to meet new faces and cultures, and at times we tend to be judged positively or worst case scenario negatively even before we are granted the opportunity to speak up and say a word simply because of the wrong notion they have against you based on your background or even maybe because of the first encounter they had with someone who shares the same trait just like you.
What then is the solution in circumstances like this, is the individual required to abjure the lifestyle of those that have negatively poisoned the mindset of the people/person he has come in contact with or is he supposed to just let it go despite the intransigent idea held against him. From my own experience I'd say it is quite a long journey trying to change the old idea held against oneself but the key is to always put on a positive gesture, bearing in mind that anyone is entitled to his opinion but for those who care to see if you are really what know to be true then that is the one shot you've got to prove them wrong.
The CONCEPT OF RELIGION.
This is really one of the major causes of altercations and disagreements or even wars amongst people in our society and generally in the world today. Basically the world we live in today has a lot people who hold on to different beliefs, gods and lifestyles. And if we look deeply we observe that majority of what happens in the life of most humans are simply a manifestation of their religious background. One could say that the religions with largest followers are Christainty and Islam. But then from our personal relationships with people it is observed that we are mostly evaluated or criticised simply because of the belief/religion we profess, people tend to marginalised only because of what have decided to put their faith in and obey. Can we truly say that there is a true religion that has the right followers who are all genuine and good??, can we say that for all intent and purposes some religions are completely bad or outcast??, well for some I know the would be a bold yes or otherwise. But we need to know is this that presently in the world we live in today people are being denied opportunities, care, food or even life just because of their religion. I ran into an old friend of mine the other day and he told me something that struck me really hard, he said "After coming out as the most outstanding staff in my place of work at the close of year I was not offered the promised award of a home just like others simply because of the religion I belong to". You can agree with me that this is quite appalling and disconcerting that someone should be judged because if his religion rather than his attitude, that someone should be judged because of his religious belief rather than what he has to offer skills, ideas, resources ,the list goes on. People need to wear off and unlearn any old rule or idea of segregation because of religion and relate with people for who they are, love people for who they are and hate them for what they do and not what they believe in.
Finally the most important remains,
The CONCEPT OF WORTH.
Personally I can boldly say that I have been a victim of this circumstance where I was kind of let down or let me use the term set aside simply because of how much I was worth at the time. I know this does not sound strange to you when I tell you that whether we like it or not, whether we chose to accept it or not today or even years to come this issue would still exist in every society, where your whole life is being evaluated and analysed even before you speak just because of of how much you posses and your wealth. Even in a famous religious book it says "A rich man has many friends but a poor man is hated by his own neighbour" and this strikes me really hard that, the poor man in quote might be a PhD holder and very smart and intelligent, but just because he doesn't have much wealth and he is not worth much he will be neglected.
So what then is the way out of all this, what then is the prescribed and perfect way to relate with friends and even the new contacts and faces we meet everyday at any place, how the should they be analysed before we let them into our lives, I think answer is quite simple and that is we fashion ourselves in a way that sees good in every individual irrespective of their age, class, work, background, religion and other classifications and we give each one an equal opportunity to present themselves as who they are and their attitude. It's only after we've seen their flaws and eccentricities that we can actually decide if the person is worth staying in our lives of not.
#Blessed life.
