Greetings friends of Hive, in this occasion share them my but recent drawing that this inspired one in Odín, called Wotan or Woden are also considered some of the main gods of the Nordic mythology, as well as that of some religions etenas.
Their paper, the same as that of many Nordic gods is quite complex. It is also the god of the war and the death that of the wisdom, in smaller measure he/she is considered the god of the magic, the prophecy, the poetry, the victory and hunt.
Does Odín reside in the Asgard in the palace of Valaskjálf that built for yes and where he/she is its throne, the Hliðskjálf, from where he/she could observe what happened in each one of the nine worlds.? In the battle it did brandish its lance, called Gungnir, and did it mount its steed of eight paws, called Sleipnir a son of Loki.
He/she was son of Bor and of the giant Bestla, brother of Vili and Vé, husband of Frigg and father of many of the gods. Thor, Balder, Vidar and Váli are among their children. In the poetry escáldica reference is made to him with kenningar infinity and one of those that is used to mention it is Allföðr («father of all»).
As god of the war, he/she took charge of sending to the valquirias to pick up the dead heroic warriors in battle you einherjer that feel to their side in the Valhalla, where he/she presides over the banquets. At the end of the times Odín will guide to the gods and the men against the forces of the chaos in the battle of the end of the world, the Ragnarök. There the god will be murdered and devoured by the ferocious wolf Fenrir, to who Vidar will kill immediately, it will tear the fauceses and it will place a foot in the throat.

Odín is an ambivalent deity. The old Nordic connotations of the Viking age for Odín are related with "the poetry and the inspiration" as well as with "the fury and the madness."
Until the sediment of Mimir I travel and their eye there you starts up. To obtain the whole knowledge (less the future) and it was who gave the valiant poets the hidromiel of the inspiration made by the midgets, of the called vessel Óð-rœrir.
However, another interpretation suggests to a selfish character, since in the mythological stories of the Eddas it is mentioned that Wotan obtains knowledge of the runes after being sacrificed in the tree of the world Yggdrasil and that knowledge stays it for itself and it doesn't share it more with anybody. In the Hávamál it is mentioned clearly that he/she knows a series of incantations rúnicos, which maintains secretly, although other sources say that it shared them with the humans that resided in Midgard for, in that way, to get that they used the runes to communicate with the gods. In the same way, when sacrificing an eye in the Well of Mimir, the knowledge that he/she obtains is alone for him, to be able to become the maximum god, but this knowledge it doesn't share them with anybody.
It is also associated with the concept of the wild hunt, Asgardreid, a boisterous one and rugiente movement through the sky, where it leads the hosts of the dead warriors.
In consistency with this, Snorri Sturluson, in the prosaic Edda, describes Odín welcoming to the warriors that have died heroically in battle, in its residence, the Valhalla that interpreted literally it means "living room of the deads in combat" where they can drink, to eat and to fight until the Ragnarök arrives, where they will fight next to Odín.
