This is me playing around charcoal, which has become a beloved medium. It's short because it's still a work in progress where I try to come up with with a decent rendering of Rubens the three graces as best as I can.
Charcoal has been good to me, I have come to love it and our relationship has taught me a lot of how light and shadows affect our perception. Specially with this piece, I have several videos and still haven't finished the study. It's coming along to my satisfaction, but it's not exactly the same as the original, of course, different mediums, different artists and education.
My main idea is to definitely speak my point of view on how this is classic beauty. I definitely find this full figures to be much more attractive than less curvy ones. Eye of the beholder and everything, I really hope that this type becomes just as popular as the smaller figures are.
Hopefully you'll like it, thanks for watching.
