#Helloworld. Today I hatched my first chicken with a incubator!
When this whole virus thing broke and everyone had to #quarantine themselves: I went online and bought two survival items {besides food and water.}
The first survival item was a pack of vegetable seeds and the second survival item was an egg incubator to hatch more chickens!
Chickens are a great source of food {from eggs} without having to leave your property! They are a must have during an emergency. I recommend raising chickens even if you don't have much yard space. It's cheap and easy.
Birds are apparently very friendly to you if you hatch them yourself. They basically think you are their mother. While you raise them they will follow you around and chirp for you and even fly onto your arm.
{Wait Chickens can fly?!}
I haven't named this chicken yet or anything... {no I'm not gonna name it Popeyes lol. Nice try though.} I will raise the Chick on its own for a little while then place it with the rest of the Chickens to lay eggs. Babies like this cant survive with other chickens yet. They would attack the chick most likely.
I will raise this chicken to lay eggs and let it like a long healthy natural life. It will have a good quality of life and a lot of space to run around in. It will lay eggs into a group chicken coop. Maybe it will be a rooster!
The chick has it's own food and water bowl and is under a hot lamp.
