New posts are flowing into hive and overall most things seem to be generally functioning. I'd hope so if it's basically a copy at this point. Hopefully we can be free of things that plagued the old chain. We probably will have a lot of the same issues, but maybe not all of them. I have noticed a few things aren't working, or I can't figure them out.
Trying to open the wallet tab gives me a 526 error. Maybe it's just a day zero thing, but it's a pretty big issue. That will have to be fixed before I can seriously use hive. This post ought to go through though, and as long as everything is fixed in a week for me to claim the oodles of rewards I'll certainly earn from it everything will be peachy.
No one I follow has anything new on this blockchain yet. I suppose that's to be expected mere hours after launch. I know some of you plan to be fashionably late, and that seems wise to me. I don't have much to lose, so I'll brave instability. Maybe I'll get reqt so you don't have to.
I'm still fuzzy on what to call stuff now. I had gotten used to the distinction between Steem and Steemit, knowing what a steemian or steemizen or whatever is, and dreading trying to explain the difference between Steem and Steam (the games thing) to people in real life. That last one was especially horrible, and hopefully with Hive I won't have to worry about that. It is like my early days on Steem all over again with relearning nomenclature and so forth.
There's lots of puzzles to hash out too. Like do I just call users "Hive users" or bees or what? Is the gerund verb that used to be Steeming now Hiving or maybe buzzing? Also a google search for hive blockchain mostly directs to some publicly traded company. Anyone know if this is related or just a coincidence? Hopefully it's not Steemit Inc. all over again.
Whatever happens I foresee many bee-themed memes, and I've already seem some on Steem. Hopefully they're funny.
