When I got up I decided to check my driver's license status like I do from time to time. For whatever reason I had to pay what I'd call a large fine to reinstate my license. I'm not trying to get harassed by the most well funded local wielders of violence if I need to drive somewhere, even if I am staying at home basically all the time, so I absorbed a crippling blow to my already insubstantial finances. Lo an behold, due to undisclosed logistical concerns I ventured into a public place to purchase supplies today. By sheer luck I acquired bonus supplies on the way too.
As per recommendation, I used a cloth covering over my mouth and nose. At first I thought there would be no other people in the store wearing masks, but it turned out there were more than a few so I didn't feel terribly out of place. It was interesting to see the diversity of masks people had. No hazmat suits, but some people had quite fancy looking masks while others had normal surgical masks. No N95 masks, but some did seem like a medical worker would be better served by them. I didn't see anyone with as low tier of a mask as mine until checkout, but I did see someone else with a simple cloth mask. It was all an interesting visual reminder of the differences between the haves and the have-nots.
Anyway my health is fine. I used my elbows on all touchscreens and pressed physical buttons with an improvised stylus instead of my hands. I got some more food, including things like candy and Oreo's. I will say I've been eating rather carelessly, but in good volume so I hope it evens out. I did a lot of lifting today too. Later on I did some art and that really helped my mental state while being enjoyable as well. I sculpted a flower and a gnome from air-dry polymer clay I got as a goodwill gesture. They're drying right now. I also painted some clay pins made by the benefactor who gave me that clay. It was all very wholesome.
The weather was clear earlier, but just an hour or two ago it started raining. The lightning was fierce and we got hail maybe an inch in diameter. It's calmed down some now though, and I'm sure those Salix Babylonica propagules will benefit from the storm. In the morning I'm going to see if they're looking any healthier.
There's a lot of digression here, but the bottom line is that I'm still in a state of ordinary health. Well for me at least.
