The official Steemit Chat is still steemit.chat. This is what is mentioned in the Steemit-FAQ and you will find a lot of serious channels. Additionally the community has created a huge number of Discord-Serves with a lot of community managed channels. As I am thinking that Discord is giving you a much more enhanced user experience and you will maybe find there a channel that suits your needs most, I will try to give you a short list of Discord-Channels known by me.
These are only the ones I am currently aware of. I am sure there are much more interesting opportunities out there. Just look around and discover ! On my behalf I will add discovered channels to this list from time to time.
