Hello Everybody!

The time you have all been waiting for has arrived! Week 26 of #zencolouringcontest ended earlier today, and now to announce the winners!

So without further ado, let's get on with the show(case)!

In 3rd place:

I chose this one because I love the rainbow palette of pastel colours. The pattern created by the subtle colouring is accentuated by the use of black as the background and negative space. The shading of the flower creates depth and the additional lines that transform the vines into DNA strands is very unique!

In 2nd place:

I picked this one because I like how each of the outer sections has its own individuality to the others. The positioning of the differing colours within the unique segments have a very eye catching effect, especially with black background making the colours stand out more! The textures and shading inside some of the shapes help break up the design nicely!

And in 1st place:

I chose this one as the winner because of the detailed textures and shading that highlight the stencil and adds multiple layers of depth to the image. The colour palettes within each of the varied sections compliment one another very well. The yellow and blue sections are especially striking. The textures that are used give a very electronic vibe, the blue sections resemble circuit board and the vines resemble wires! The animated background of a swirling rainbow is the 'cherry on top'!
