Mining Ethereum (178 MHs) and ZenCash (2400 Sols) with Nvidia GTX 1070 on ethOS

Because of supply shortages of AMD graphic cards i decided to setup an 6 GPU Nvidia Mining Rig for Etherum and ZenCash Mining.

Bill of Materials:

Motherboard – Asus Strix B250F Gaming
CPU – Intel Pentium G4400
RAM – 8GB Curcial 2133 MHz
SSD – SanDisk 120 GB
PSU – Coirsair HX1000i
GPU – 6x Asus Geforce GTX 1070 Dual OC
GPU Riser – 6x ELEGIANT
Rig Frame – DIY Frame

setting up ethOS configuration

editing custom.sh

sudo nvidia-smi -i 0 -pl 110
sudo nvidia-smi -i 1 -pl 110
sudo nvidia-smi -i 2 -pl 110
sudo nvidia-smi -i 3 -pl 110
sudo nvidia-smi -i 4 -pl 110
sudo nvidia-smi -i 5 -pl 110

Powertune doesn’t work very well on my system, so i decided to reduce  power consumption by setting GPU watt limit to 110 watts with  nivida-smi command. This is only needed if you want to save power or use  a 1000 Watt PSU.
