In the above video I am going to share my thoughts on the current state of YouTube from the YouTuber perspective. It is a well known fact that throughout that last few years many people has turned their YouTube accounts into money machines that has allowed them to make a full-time living doing what they love. Being a YouTuber was becoming a sought after career choice for individuals of all demographics. There was no reason why anyone who had a hobby or true passion, some sort of camera and an internet connection couldn't start a YouTube. Not only was it possible to start a very popular channel. It was possible to start a channel that made you some nice money!
Everything was going great for many YouTubers who were feeling like they have found a new career that could last them for many years. Until what now seems like a sudden change in how YouTube works now. The last 12-18 months has seen the financial opportunity of being a professional YouTuber getting harder and harder to accomplish.
Overtime a huge wave of new rules and guidelines for content creators have left many once successful YouTubers baffled at the dramatic decrease in monetized videos that was once earning them a nice passive income.. I have always believed that one should depend soley on YouTubes monetization program when it comes to their overall income. Maybe I say this because I wasn't making thousands of dollars each month from my monetized videos.
I realize that their were many YouTubers who were making a full-time income strictly from their monetized videos. And just like that, BAM!!, income gone due to new guidelines Over the last few months many YouTubes have lost their once lucrative channels and are now forced to get more creative with their income streams. Yes, there are still ways to make a living from YouTube such as getting brand deals, creating and selling you own products and affiliate marketing. So there is still hope but it sucks that it seems that YouTube seems to no longer care about the everyday person that has a desire to make money from YouTube.
This is one of the main reasons that so many YouTubers are moving to D-Tube!
